Dog Walking
Veterinary studies indicate dogs that are bored will act
out by digging, chronic barking, and weight gain. Medications
for behavioral/seizure disorders may also influence a dog's
weight and disposition.
To keep your dog healthy, make time to walk/run/play for
at least one hour daily. It may seem like a small amount
of time to us but remember that a dog's hour is the equivalent
of seven of ours. Your pet will love you for it and you'll
get to love your dog longer.
Sometimes finding that hour for exercise isn't feasible.
Things such as work, accidents, or major changes in an owner's
life may suddenly leave a well-cared for dog in a state
of confusion and boredom. Let Safe Pets Trust help with
a weekly exercise/walking program. Programs can be customized
with your veterinarians input and can be as flexible on
a weekly basis as required.
Mid-day Pit Stop/Puppy Breaks are also offered. These are also helpful for older dogs who need a quick break outside when you can't get home.
Dog walking/pit stop rates and hours
Dog Walking Service - $15 for 30 minutes (1-2 dogs); add $5 for each additional dog.
Pit Stop - $10 for 15 minutes or $15 for 30 minutes.
Includes let out, play in yard, snack, fresh water.
Walks are conducted from owner's door and back, staying
in a familiar neighborhood. Safe Pets Trust does not transport
animals. We do visit any dog-friendly neighborhood parks/
recreation spaces but dogs are always kept on leash. Safe Pets Trust is conscientious of waste
disposal and leash etiquette.
Winter dog walking appointments are cancelled in the event of precipitation or temperatures below freezing. For those with scheduled mid-day walks, 30 minute pit stop service will be substituted.
There is a special process for establishing dog clients.
